Q: How long does it take to fully recharge the batteries, and how long do the batteries last after a charge?

A: The Dogtra YS300 uses Lithium Polymer Batteries, which provide a rapid charge. It takes 2~3 hours to recharge the batteries if the batteries are completely deprived. The LED indicator light stays red while being charged. The light will change to a green color and stay on without blinking when the battery is completely charged. It may vary from the frequency of uses, but the batteries should last for about 2 weeks.

Q: What do the letters and numbers on the dial mean?

A: The letter “P” on the Dogtra YS300 dial is the Vibration setting, a non-stimulation mode. The numbers 2-7 are Vibration followed by a stimulation, the higher the number the higher the stimulation. The “T” is the Test Mode of the collar.

Q: What do the flashing lights mean?

A: The Dogtra YS300 will flash Green when on and fully charged. The color will change to Amber when the collar is around a medium charge. When the collar flashes red, the battery is very low and needs to be charged.

Q: Is the Dogtra YS300 waterproof?

A: Yes the collar is waterproof, if the dog is out in the rain, the collar will not be affected.

Q: What size dog does the Dogtra YS300 bark collar fit?

A: The Dogtra YS300 Bark Collar is for dogs of at least 10 pounds and recommend to be on a dog of 6 months of age or older.

Q: Fitting the Dogtra YS300 to the dog properly

A:The collar should be snug against the dog’s skin, but not so tight that the dog cannot eat or drink without ease. The collar should not be able to slide around the dog’s neck. The prongs on the collar should be directly on the skin, to ensure that the dog will feel the correction. To get the prongs in contact the skin, wiggle it back and forth to get it through the dog’s coat.

Q: The dog is not responding to the correction

A: If the dog is not responding to the Dogtra YS300 stimulation, make sure that the prongs are against the dog’s skin. If it is, turn the dial up on the stimulation, every dog responds different to the shock and a higher setting may be needed.

Q: Testing the Collar

A: To test the Dogtra YS300 to see if it is working, start by turning the dial to testing mode. Once the collar is in testing mode, scratch a rough surface of a testing tool (such as a coin) on the collar. The collar will emit 3 vibrations if it is working properly.
