Q: Does this system work in the snow?
A: Yes it does, but keep in mind the transmitter needs to be plugged in somewhere dry or protected by a weather box.
Q: How do I know when the collar needs a new battery?
A: A light on the collar will blink red when it needs a new battery.
Q: How long does a battery typically last?
A: Usually 4-6 months but this varies depending on the dog and can last as long as a year.
Q: What kind of batteries does this use?
A: Uses a common 6 volt, which you can purchase here at Outdoor Dog Supply.
Q: Is the collar waterproof?
A: Yes, the collar is completely waterproof.
Q: How do I change the shock level?
A: It is easy, just place the collar by the transmitter and hold the two transmitter buttons for about 3 seconds. You will see the display show “0” and you let go. Use the top button “scroll” to cycle through the correction levels. After “8” it will start back at “0”. When you get the level you want on the transmitter hold the collar up to the side of the transmitter and hit the bottom (set) button. You should see your collar light flash the number of times matching the level you set the collar to. If you need additional help you can call us at 757-482-1000
