Outdoor Dog Supply is the leader when it comes to the Garmin Tri-Tronics Trade In Program. We were one of the first Garmin Dealers to start accepting Garmin buyback trade-ins toward purchase(s). Outdoor Dog Supply currently accepts both working and some non-working units.
Non-working Alpha 100's, TT10 collars, Garmin DC30 collars, DC40 collars, DC50 collars, Tri-Tronics G2 or G3 collars, Astro 220, Astro 320 handhelds, Tri-Tronics Trashbreaker G2 or G3 handhelds, Tri-Tronics Classic 70 G2 or G3 handhelds. “Beep beep” collars are not accepted in any condition. We do not accept skunked equipment. PLEASE NOTE ANY EQUIPMENT THAT IS IN POOR PHYSICAL SHAPE AND NON RESELLABLE INCLUDING EQUIPMENT WITH DRY ROT, BITE MARKS, SEVERE CHEWING, ETC. WILL BE CLASSIFIED AS NON- WORKING EVEN IF IT TURNS ON/ TRACKS
Meaning if you send in a piece of equipment in this state we will be unable to except it if it is listed that we only except if the piece of equipment is working
*If you send in non-working equipment that we do not accept or you choose not to go further with the trade in you are responsible for the return shipping cost.
Outdoor Dog Supply — Working Collar Qualifications
For a collar to be accepted as working, it must meet the following standards:
Complete Internal Components — Must include battery, GPS band, collar housing, screws, antenna plate, and other essential internal parts.
Fully Functional — Communication, GPS tracking, battery life within normal standards, LED lights, correction features, tone, vibration, and all primary functions must work properly.
Resellable Condition — No major wear or damage, including:
1. Biting, chew marks, deep scratches, slices, or cracks
2. Dry rot on GPS bands
3. Excessive dirt or extreme filth
4. Strong odors (such as cigarette smoke or skunk) that cannot be removed
Acceptance decisions are at Outdoor Dog Supply’s discretion.
Additional Details
Collars must be in a condition you would personally find acceptable if purchased used.
Items falling below these standards will be priced and accepted as broken rather than working.
You may remove straps, prongs, and antennas without affecting the collar’s value.
Your Equipment Will Be Considered Broke If It Has Any Of The Following Issues Even If It Turns On
No Communication/ Infrequent Communication
No GPS/ Infrequent GPS
No Ability To Tone, Vibrate, or Correct
Lights Not Working
Slices On Collars GPS Band
Dry-Rot On Collar GPS Band
Dry-rotted/ Missing Buttons
Holes, Bitemarks, Chewmarks, Cracks, Severe Slices, etc. in the equipment
Missing Compents, Housing, Screws, GPS Bands, Battery ect.
Not Charging
Blink Red On The Charger
Not Turning On
Broken Charging Ports
Broken Screen
Broken Antenna Port
* It is at Outdoor Dog Supply’s discretion whether we give broken or working pricing. These are only the most common reasons a collar may be considered broken, but not the only ones. If you would like to check whether we will consider your equipment working or broken, please call us! *
You can contact us at 757-482-1000, tell us what you have that you would like to turn in for trade and what you are interested in purchasing. We will provide you with a quote. If you decide, like most of our trade in calls, to proceed with the trade in, first print and fill out form. (Include this in your box)
Please note that all trade in's are at a component for component price meaning that that there will be price reduction if you are trading more than one piece of equipment in for one. You can ask our team further questions in regards to this on your quote call.
NOTE: After 60 days and multiple attempts to contact you, if we are unable to reach you, we will issue a store credit to your OutdoorDogSupply.com account. If you do not have an account, we will create one for you using the information you provided.
At Outdoor Dog Supply we work hard to get your trade in's turned around and back to you as soon as possible. If you want to guarantee that you have a quick turn around you MUST complete these steps!
Our Trade in team is working hard as possible to get through this equipment as soon as possible. By you completing these steps this guarantees a great experience for both you and your trade in representative!

After you have filled out the trade in form you have 1 of 2 options to process the trade-in/order.
Option 1: You can send your equipment to our office, include in the box your completed trade in form. Upon inspection of your trade-in equipment, we will contact you, finalize the quote based off condition and working status of the products. If any payment is due, we will receive payment at that time. We will then process your new order and ship out your shipment.
Option 2: For those that don’t want any downtime between sending in their trade in and receiving their new order, you can complete a purchase through our store. Upon receipt of your new order, you then send your trade-ins including your completed trade in form. Upon arrival and inspection, we will initiate a refund for trade-in credit to the card.
